Towne Camera opened in Pottsville PA, in 1955.  In 1986, it was purchased by current owner Mike Zarrett and a business partner and moved a few blocks from it's original location to Center St., Pottsville.  

In 1987, a second store was opened in the Schuylkill Mall, in Frackville, PA.  The mall location was open for 3 years.  In 1990, the mall location was closed, followed shortly by the Pottsville location.  It was, at that time, Zarrett bought out his partner.

In 1989, Towne Camera opened in Bloomsburg, PA, and has grown here ever since!

On October 25, 2009, a devastating fire ripped through 3 buildings in downtown Bloomsburg.  The building housing Towne Camera was one of them.  

Thanks to Susan McGarry at ArchCentral Architects and T-Ross Brothers Construction, Inc., on October 23, 2010, the Zarrett building was complete and Towne Camera was reborn!
